Oliva Masters Blend 3 Robusto

Appearance and scent: beautiful dark brown sun-grown wrapper. Felt like thin suede to the touch. A few veins but not more than one would expect of such a rich wrap. The smell of this cigar is what is so enticing, a rich sweet tobacco/barnyard and dark cocoa scents abound.

Construction: Very well constructed. This particular cigar was a tad moist and did go out a couple times at about half way through. It did burn perfectly even, even with the burn issue. Draw was perfect. Not too loose not too tight.

Flavor: If I didn’t know any better I would say this cigars tobacco was grown in the Vuelta Abajo region for sure. Not particularly peppery and some spice at first, then soft leather and dark cocoa flavors abound right after. Rich and delicious all the way through, copious amounts of smoke from start to finish and for a few minutes at about the 2/3 mark some pepper and spice. Then it mellowed back into leather and cocoa. All throughout there was an underlying sweetness that kept me coming back for more. Dont be fooled by the sweet goodness though, this cigar packs a punch.

Overall: This was a great cigar and I would put it up against ANY of the finest cigars from anywhere in the world.
